The general guideline is to spend time with those who share things in common with you. If you’re new to a place, or feel that you’ve outgrown the social group you’ve been part of up until now, you might be feeling incredibly alone. For some, their social community consists of those they chat with politely now and then, such as after religious services, or while doing some local grocery shopping. Online communities bring together individuals from diverse backgrounds, and engaging with different perspectives can broaden your own knowledge and understanding.
